Video tutorial: Generate schematic symbols in seconds with Neurocad

This walkthrough shows the full symbol workflow: load a datasheet, frame the pin table or symbol drawing, and generate a native, parametric schematic symbol that Neurocad™ Link writes directly into your EDA library. You review the extracted pins before anything enters your design. The checklist below has everything to have ready before you press play.

Before you start, you'll need:

  • A Neurocad™ account. Register here.
  • An authenticator app for multifactor authentication, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator
  • Neurocad™ Link installed and your EDA tool connected (Altium, Cadence, or KiCad)
  • A datasheet or pin table for the part you want to generate

What the video covers:

  1. Opening the Extract symbol preset recipe
  2. Selecting your source file: a datasheet, pin table, or image
  3. Framing the pin table or symbol drawing so only the relevant section of the document is processed
  4. Adding a prompt and running the recipe
  5. Reviewing the extracted pin names, numbers, and symbol preview before anything is committed
  6. Sending the finished symbol to your desktop, where Neurocad™ Link writes it into your EDA library
