They are useful when the required component is in the catalog, the available model supports the intended CAD environment, and the asset meets the organization’s engineering and library standards.

Neurocad™ does not depend on a prebuilt catalog. It uses the source material supplied by the user to generate the requested engineering artifact.
For example, an engineer can provide a manufacturer’s datasheet or package drawing, identify the relevant pinout or footprint information, and ask Neurocad™ to generate a schematic symbol or PCB footprint. Neurocad™ interprets the source, structures the relevant specifications, and constructs the result for the selected CAD application.

Library-part creation is an important Neurocad™ use case, but it is not the limit of the platform.
Neurocad™ decomposes engineering sources into structured specifications that can be used to construct artifacts across supported CAD environments. The broader objective is to move engineering information from its source into usable design systems without requiring engineers to reinterpret and re-enter the same information at every tool boundary.
This is why Neurocad™ supports more than datasheet PDFs. Supported inputs include images, tabular data, electronic design data, mechanical geometry, manufacturing data, and native or legacy CAD files.
Whether an asset is downloaded or generated, engineers should inspect it before releasing it into an approved library or production design.
Neurocad™ PCB footprints follow IPC-7351 standards. Users should still compare generated footprints with the manufacturer’s package drawing and their organization’s requirements. Review pad geometry, dimensions, pin numbering, pin 1 orientation, courtyard boundaries, solder-mask and paste information, and the relationship between the schematic symbol and footprint.
When a source document is long or contains several package options, Neurocad™ users can capture a specific drawing or table and provide a detailed prompt. A focused source and clear instructions can improve generation accuracy when the complete document contains ambiguous or competing information.
