Video tutorial: Connect Neurocad™ to Slack and automate design-ready artifacts

Neurocad™ is the intent compiler for hardware engineering. Bring in a datasheet, a drawing, or a component image and Neurocad™ compiles it into a native, parametric design-ready artifact in your EDA or CAD tool. No rebuilding. No re-entry.

Now it runs directly from Slack.

Connect your workspace, build a recipe, and set a command trigger. Then, drop a file into Slack, type your command, and Neurocad™ returns a preview link directly in the thread. Your artifact is ready to review, edit, and send to your tool. No data re-entry. Just file in, artifact out. The checklist below has everything to have ready before you press play.

Before you start, you'll need:

  • A Neurocad™ account · Register here.
  • An authenticator app for multifactor authentication, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator
  • A Slack workspace where you can authorize app connections
  • Neurocad™ Link installed, if you want artifacts sent to your EDA tool (available from your account page)
  • A file to send: a datasheet, a drawing, or a component image

What the video covers:

  1. Adding the Slack connection from Connect and authorizing it
  2. Creating a new recipe from the Slack tile in Recipes
  3. Choosing where your artifacts generate: the entire workspace or a single channel
  4. Setting a unique command trigger for the recipe
  5. Naming, saving, and deploying the recipe, then toggling it on in Automate (the green message confirms it's active)
  6. Linking your Slack channel to Neurocad™ with the secure, auto-generated link command
  7. Running the automation: type your @ command, attach your file, and press Enter to get a preview link back in the thread
  8. Reviewing, editing, and sending artifacts to another program from your Artifacts library

Watch the walkthrough, then run your first command. If you hit a snag, search Neurocad™ resources or contact support.
