Send to desktop node

Send to desktop is the recipe node that dispatches your output to a connected workstation. You will find it in the Connect section of the Node palette.

Configuring the Send to desktop node

If Neurocad Link is connected, your workstation(s) should appear in the Machine field. If you don't see your workstation(s) listed, check your connection.

  1. Check your Neurocad Link connection
  2. Go to Connect, (Neurocad icon -> Connect -> Neurocad Passport card.
  3. Click on Neurocad Passport to refresh
  4. Go back to your recipe and ensure your workstation shows in the Machine field.

Connecting EDA and CAD applications

In the Send to desktop node, select your CAD applications. Confirm the application status indicator next to its name shows it's connected, then click Test step. If your application is not listed, check your connection in Neurocad Link and confirm you're logged into the EDA and CAD applications.

  2. Click Open dashboard
  3. On the Neurocad Link dashboard, top menu, right side, each CAD application Neurocad supports will be listed in a dropdown menu.
  4. If your tool(s) are connected, you'll see a green or red light.
  5. Login to the tool to connect it to Neurocad Link if the light is red.
    • A green light = the tool is online.
    • A red lights = the tool is offline.

Note: Your machine is either online (Neurocad Link is running and connected) or offline (it is not). The Send to desktop node will only dispatch to a machine or tool that is currently online.
